What It Does

Weatherly Widgets is a self-hosted weather platform serving more than 35,000 US and Canadian cities. It delivers indexable weather content, embeddable widgets, and a JSON API — giving site owners and developers weather data they can publish, embed, or build on without depending on a third-party black box.

The emphasis is on breadth of coverage paired with developer-friendly delivery. Rather than a single widget, it's a platform: the same underlying dataset surfaces as embeddable widgets for publishers and as a clean API for developers, across a footprint that spans tens of thousands of cities.

How It's Built

Wide Coverage

Weather content for more than 35,000 US and Canadian cities, built to be indexable so it can serve as real, crawlable pages rather than client-only widgets.

Embeddable Widgets

Drop-in widgets, including a WordPress integration, so publishers can add live weather to a site without wiring up an API themselves.

JSON API

A clean JSON API exposes the same dataset for developers who want to build their own interfaces and integrations on top of it.

Self-Hosted Stack

Built on a Python and FastAPI backend with a PostgreSQL data layer, the platform owns its own infrastructure end to end.

Where It Fits

Weatherly Widgets sits alongside the core entity-first SEO platforms as a data-and-publishing project — a demonstration of the same instincts applied to a different domain: wide indexable coverage, clean structured delivery, and infrastructure owned rather than rented.
